Infant and Toddler Program Components

Caregiver and Me Program

The caregiver and me socialization program serves children aged 12-36 months of age who have Regional Center funding and their families. A team of specialists including a speech and language pathologist, an occupational therapist, a physical therapist, and an early intervention specialist works closely with the family to establish goals and plan interventions. Class sessions are held two mornings per week.

Home Visit Program

An early intervention specialist, holding a Master’s Degree and a teaching credential in early childhood special education, offers services and support to infants and toddlers (birth to 36 months) and their families within their homes, communities, or at the child’s daycare center. This specialist collaborates with caregivers to seamlessly integrate interventions into the family’s daily routine.

Assessment

Regional Center intake and closing developmental only or developmental and speech assessments are provided by an early intervention specialist with a Master’s Degree and a teaching credential in early childhood special education and a licensed speech and language pathologist in the family’s home or at the center.

Provisional Eligibility Program

This program offers parent education and support for families with children aged 3-5 years who have been determined provisionally eligible for Regional Center services. Services are provided by experienced early intervention specialists who hold Master’s Degrees and teaching credentials in early childhood special education, tailored to meet the unique needs of each family
